Notes:
My folks [Peter’s] lived with Uncle Maurice and Aunt Eleanor when they first moved to Bucksport during World War II while Dad got established in the Seaboard Paper Mill. Aunt Eleanor’s birthday [month and day] are the same as mine [Peter]. She died in the nursing home in Penobscot, ME a short time after turning 100 years old! She lived with her daughter, Nella, on the shore road in Bucksport after Maurice died. Maurice, like most men of the area, worked in the paper mill. My last visit with Great Aunt Eleanor was in regard to family history of which she knew a lot. She was in her 80’ s at the time and spry and sharp as a tack. Her mind started to go in the last few years of her life. Eleanora and Maurice are interred in the Riverview Cemetery in Bucksport. Alice is interred in Hampton, ME.
